John James on the waters
In a Friday morning post on X, GOP gubernatorial candidate John James takes a not-so-subtle jab at Democrats in a snarky partisan remark. Is it an attempt at humor? Or just an indication that he's on Team Trump and willing to trash Democrats?
The post shows James boating with his sons in the beautiful waters of what we assume is Michigan. He doesn't specify, but one would conclude that, since he's running for governor of Michigan, he'd want to highlight the state's many great assets.
What he says is this:
I see you’ve found God’s country.

Please tell your republican voting friends how wonderful it is. Please don’t tell your democrat socialist friends about it at all.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. https://t.co/EFAgilB9Rr pic.twitter.com/3KIEYbG9Cm
A governor for all the people?
Perhaps the two-term Congressman believes he really doesn't need any votes from Democrats. Maybe he should speak with his consultants before arriving at that shaky conclusion.
Enjoy the water Mr. Congressman and just watch out for the sharks -- or I mean, the socialist Democrats.
P.S. Perhaps, by using a little more sense he could have elevated his message to something like:
"Out here in the beautiful waters of Michigan with my two sons, enjoying the beauty of our state. As your next governor, I'll make sure these natural resources are maintained for generations to come."
